Dr. Fredric Weizmann
Dr. Fredric Weizmann received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Ohio State University and studied and did research in child development as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Illinois. He was a faculty member at Purdue University before moving to York University in the 1970’s, where he has remained ever since, most recently as Chair of the Psychology Department in the Faculty of Arts.

Dr. Weizmann has published in the areas of infant development, psychotherapy, the relationship of biological and psychological factors in evolution and development, and the history of psychology and child development, and has taught courses in clinical and clinical-child psychology. His interests are in the history and theories of child development, the diagnosis and treatment of children with behavioural and psychological problems and the prevention of psychological disorders.
